Luck is not a Gift - It's an Owed Debt

Weekly Contest #379

(This story contains the topic of death and greed) He was a man of many words, but even as he died. There was nothing to say, for he knew he was wrong about everything. Yet, what led to this, was not due to the harsh cruelty of the world, it was his own fault. His mistakes, and it had to have started somewhere. So we retell the story of the man who dared to challenge fate, an unfortunate tale, truly. Callus Aetos, an adventurer at the age of twenty-seven, set off on a journey to find the Oracle at Delphi. Soulbound

(!!WARNING!! This story contains: Mentions of Mental Health issues, Physical Violence, and mentions of Suicide.) +_______________________+ Mason Demian had always noticed things other people didn’t. (This story contains mentions of sickness) I am Kazuo Nishikawa, a prince from the royal family. Since I was born I have always been weak, so fragile that my parents deemed me as 'sick' my whole life. Recently though, I really have been sick. My parents worry for me. I try to ignore my sickness and push past it, but days like today I find it hard to keep being active. So, my father had to find another way to keep me safe and well, he feared I was truly on my deathbed. ~:-------------------------------------------------------------------:~ ...

Finally Seen

Weekly Contest #298

(Warning for Mental issues, depiction of death & character just being dead.) Everyone has been acting off today, first Mrs.Brown marked me absent, despite me being in class. And then Daniel ignores me! It’s like they can't even see me…It’s alright though, it’s probably just a prank, but everyone’s been doing it…why? I shrugged at the thought as I walked over to my friends. “Why isn’t Rocky picking up his phone,” Daniel asked nervously. “He always picks up.” Why was he trying to call me…and why wasn’t my phone buzzing? I was right here, t...
