I woke up with a new lust for knowledge, a burning curiosity for answers. I all but sprung out of bed, throwing open the door and rushing down the stairs. I paused only briefly to hear Sophie in the kitchen. Perfect. She was just what I needed. Ben, on the other hand, was not nearly as eager. He mumbled something I didn’t understand, and wasn’t willing to pause for two seconds and ask about. He’d obviously woken up on the wrong side of the bed, and I had work to do.
