The man ruffled a few spots on my outfit, then finished by quickly patting me down and swiping away any dust he could find. “Well, well! Look at you now! It spoke no words, but I knew exactly what it wanted to say. “Why must you sit here only to rot away?” I heard. I couldn’t muster a response. The question stifled me, as it always did.
