Right where the orange tree grew, there lay a young girl. Her sundress coated with sticky blood. Didn’t matter that she had been reading a book. Or that her straw hat flew away with the breeze. Not even their eventual screams would matter. Just like that, a girl no more. They had gone on a quick errand to buy fertilizer. So that the same orange tree would grow even larger fruits.
