It was a Tuesday in July. We were camping, just like we did every year before. My Dad is a very happy camper – he packs the tents, camping chairs, portable grill, fishing poles, blow up mattresses – the whole shebang. Alicia woke up with a start. She sat up in bed, looking around her dark bedroom, trying to figure out what had startled her awake. Suddenly, the white sheer curtains hanging down over the inside of her window lit up; there was a bright flash of light outside her house. Glancing at the clock, the red numbers glowed 2:27am.
