Originally from South Jersey and now based… well, that's complicated. Life as a military photographer keeps things interesting — new faces, new places, new stories, sometimes more than I can keep up with. I've shot spacecraft from underwater, F-22s breaking the sound barrier, good guys jumping out of good planes, and everything in between — carrier flight decks, the jungles of Hawaii. For me, it beats the office, but I'm still a sucker for a good cafe, and a seat by the window.
Before all that I lived in Costa Rica for two years and worked on a farm for another. There was something about taking bold leaps into the unknown that made a blank page the proper place to hold it all. Bradbury, Tolkien, Lewis — their worlds stuck with me, and the wonder in them never quite wore off. That's how I ended up writing. I've been at a novel series for the past several years now, and I've got a running list of ideas that'll all go somewhere eventually.
Here's to the pursuit.
