W-H-Y Spells WHY

WARNING: This story covers the abduction of a child, stress, terror, anxiety, and very messy parenting and "parental" figures. This is a chapter of a larger project titled 'The Winterset Conspiracy." Check out my other entry this week: "Objective: Little Brother." _____________________________________________ Lately, Emile began talking of the future much more often. Telling of just what it would look like. If Abel saw so fit as to stay, how happy that would make him. "I can assure you, you would never be left without the essentials. Hugs...

Instead Andy looked like the older men when they looked at their wives for talking too much. Angry. So angry they could spit fire or scream obscenities the adult...

HE Wakes the Dead

Grandma had taken Nikki to the best little shops and boutiques before she’d passed away. Sometimes, when she was too little to handle owning a delicate, handcrafted piece herself. It was their secret that she’d keep Nikki’s collection safe until she had the mind to come collect it. Maybe… she did feel a little guilty for how that promise had faded from her memory. It was months of excruciating waiting before the adults figured everything out so Nikki could finally receive the spanning collection across Grandma’s downsize of an apartment, tha...
