The store was the first place I drove to on my own when he moved us here. A small little shop at the end of a new town. All I needed were a stuffed elephant, a funny card, Calvin Klein cologne a special lamp: pre-ordered online, and some lipstick. Quick. In and out. No problem. I knew where everything was.
