I breathed heavily in the dusty, dark, attic, my mind spinning all around. As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t take the mask out. It was too dangerous, COVID was lingering all over this apartment. The stale air, the worn out posters peeling slowly by slowly and the especially large tree trunk jutting in from the broken window, just waiting to take me out.
