A.R. Ashcroft has spent a long career in operations management, building teams, untangling processes, and occasionally discovering that people are considerably harder to debug than systems. He brings the same enthusiasm for building things to fiction—particularly worlds, characters, and situations that probably seemed like good ideas at the time.
A lifelong fan of fantasy, science fiction, and cerebral humor, he has always dreamed of becoming a published author and has finally decided that dreaming about it is considerably less effective than actually writing. When he isn't working or inventing new worlds, he shares his life with his two daughters, his fiancée, and eight Yorkies—an arrangement that has taught him more about chaos management than a career in operations ever could.
