“You better run!” Scott roared. Teighlor raced toward the steps. She swung herself around the baluster as a half-drunk whiskey bottle exploded against the wall above her head raining glass and that pungent liquid down on her. She stopped and looked into the glazed over eyes of the pathetic excuse for a man as he swayed on his feet.
