Just a shy old bird who is rarely clever outside the written word.
I took the most direct path to becoming a writer: I dreamed of being a paleontologist as a child, dabbled in graphic design and art, and obtained a BA in Bible and Theology before eventually earning my MA in Family Counseling. After years as a stay-at-home mom, I decided to wing it and teach myself the craft of writing.
While I love the quiet freedom of incubating a new narrative, I find the true reward is watching a story take flight and rejoicing when it finally lands with a reader. In my work, I take subtle humor very seriously and have a habit of hiding eggs for the eagle-eyed.
