No matter the genre, I love helping authors connect with their audience and making sure that their vision comes across in all its glory. At the beginning of a project, I always seek to understand exactly what an author is trying to accomplish so I can help them achieve their goals. Every book is different, and so is my editing approach.
I believe that how we write about the world and the words we choose are hugely important, and I can also offer sensitivity edits to make sure that your writing is respectful to all.

Callisto Media
At Callisto, I edit a variety of prescriptive nonfiction books in areas including psychology, religion and spirituality, and self-help. Many of my authors are first-time writers, and I love guiding them through the process of turning their subject-matter expertise into accessible writing for their audience.
Council on Foreign Relations
On the CFR publications team, I led a team of editors working on foreign policy reports, educational materials, style guides, and newsletters. I line edited, copy edited, and proofread dozens of reports, webpages, and other materials.
HarperCollins Publishers
At Harper, I edited books for several imprints: William Morrow, which specialized in commercial fiction and nonfiction; Custom House, which focused on literary fiction and nonfiction; and Voyager, which published science fiction and fantasy. I worked with many bestselling and award-winning authors across genres. I reviewed hundreds of queries and assisted multiple executives edit, manage, and market their books, as well as my own.

At Wiley, I worked on biology and environmental science textbooks, helping fine tune not just books but also a variety of learning tools and materials.
Lynn Franklin & Associates
I reviewed submissions for a literary agent and evaluated manuscripts for submission to foreign agents and publishers.
