Britt Tayler

Britt Tayler – Editor

Fiction editor specializing in romance. My clients range from proudly Indie to New York Times bestsellers like Ana Huang and B.K. Borison.

Overview

As an avid lifelong reader, I have always found myself circling the literary world. I received my BA in Psychology (minor in English), went on to get my master's in Education where I specialized in teaching reading and writing to middle-school children, and eventually created space for my dream role: book editing! I'm now working full-time, with new and repeat clients as they make their publishing dreams come true.

I am dedicated to building relationships that lead to celebrations of success. Over the years, my clients have expressed their gratitude for my honesty, integrity, and commitment to fine-tuning their manuscripts, and in turn, many have and gone on to achieve major success.

I pride myself on putting my whole heart into each and every project, and I would love to work with you!

Here are a few testimonials:

"Britt was a lifesaver. She turned around quality work with a very tight deadline, and her professionalism and attention to detail made her a dream to work with. I'll definitely be using her services again!" —NYT Bestseller Ana Huang

“Working with Britt has been the best decision of my entire author journey. She’s not only an exceptional editor—knowledgeable, meticulous, and deeply respectful of an author’s unique voice—but also a fantastic cheerleader. Britt makes you feel like you’re working alongside a friend who genuinely cares about your success. She was always available, even during odd hours, and consistently responded to my texts and DMs. She effortlessly adapted to my deadlines, ensuring everything ran smoothly. If you’re looking for an editor who’s not just skilled, but also supportive and dedicated, trust me, you need Britt in your corner.” —USA Today Bestseller Letizia Lorini

Work experience

Self-employed

Mar, 2022 — Present
I have worked with a wide range of authors on their novels—many of whom have been picked up by traditional publishing houses (Berkley, Avon, Gallery Books, Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster) and become bestsellers. Helping Indie authors excel in their publication journey has been a highlight of my professional life.
