Bree Weber is an independent publishing consultant based in Portland, OR working with fiction and non-fiction authors. When she's not reading books for work, she's reading them for fun. She has experience crafting high-level marketing strategy, developing email marketing campaigns, and optimizing book metadata and blurb copy.
Bree began her career in London studying for her Masters in Publishing Culture. Through that program, she had the opportunity to explore every aspect of the publishing process and contribute to Bloomsbury, HarperCollins, Profile Books, and Hamlyn. She then worked for Palgrave of MacMillan, Dorling Kindersley of Penguin, and Miller's of Octopus Publishing.
After relocating to New York, Bree worked with boutique publisher Assouline before joining the prestigious literary agency, Trident Media Group. In a small digital media and publishing team, Bree worked with both traditionally and self-published authors to produce and promote their books. She has had the pleasure of supporting campaigns for Deepak Chopra, Justin Cronin, Lisa Scottoline, J.T. Ellison, Catherine Coulter, Maya Banks, Jaci Burton and Sylvia Day alongside publishers, big and small, including St. Martin's Press, Ballantine Books, Simon & Schuster, and Penguin Random House.
Now, as the founder of The Book Octopus, Bree collaborates directly with authors and agents to provide marketing strategy, author branding, and launch campaign support.
