Richard Roper is a UK-based author and editor. As a novelist, he has been published by Penguin in the US, Orion in the UK, and around the world in 20 languages. His debut novel, Something to Live For, was a Barnes & Noble Fiction Book of the Month. His work has also been optioned for TV.
As a nonfiction editor at Hachette UK, Richard has commissioned and edited numerous Sunday Times bestsellers, Waterstones Book of the Month and BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week selections. He has also worked on many other award-winning titles by the likes of James Acaster, Ivo Graham, Peter Ross, Katy Wix, and Serj Tankian. Prior to his time at Hachette, he worked at Penguin Random House and at an independent publisher.
