Overview
I am a web designer and developer specializing in custom websites, branding, and digital experiences for authors, publishers, creatives, and small businesses.
I design websites that reflect the personality, subject matter, and visual world of each project rather than relying on generic templates. My work combines thoughtful UI/UX design, typography, imagery, and responsive development to create websites that feel distinctive, professional, and easy to navigate.
I primarily build custom WordPress websites, with a focus on clean development, fast performance, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, SEO, and long-term scalability. I can also integrate newsletters, lead magnets, blogs, book sales, contact forms, analytics, and other marketing tools.
For authors in particular, I approach the website as more than a place to showcase a book. It should establish a strong author brand, support future releases, grow an audience, and provide a professional platform for readers, media, publishers, and speaking opportunities.
I can adapt the design and user experience to suit a wide variety of genres and audiences. I welcome projects from authors working across fiction, nonfiction, or multiple genres.
I also make sure clients are comfortable managing their websites after launch, including updating content, adding books or products, and handling routine changes themselves.
Have a book, author brand, or website project in mind? Get in touch to discuss your ideas and how I can help bring them to life.

It includes book promotion, a dedicated universe section, blog, newsletter, shop, forum, social links, and contact functionality.

The site was designed to feel warm, whimsical, and storybook-like while remaining clear and easy to navigate for parents and readers. It features the book prominently, along with reviews, purchase links, author information, events, and contact details, creating a cohesive online home for Mary’s work and future stories.
Michael Owen — The Foundation
