Overview
Hello, and nice to meet you.
I love collaborating with aspiring authors who are curious about themselves and the world and want to figure out why we do the strange things we do. Along with my work with individuals, I've written and edited for Hachette, W. W. Norton, Chronicle Books, Nat Geo Kids, Amazon Publishing, Seventeen, Pokemon, Mountaineers Books, and Girl Friday Productions. One of my own books, The Art of Ramona Quimby (Chronicle, 2020), was recommended by novelist Jasmine Guillory on the Today Show and praised in the New York Times and the Paris Review. (Favorite quote: "Ramona scowled. 'I am too a Merry Sunshine!' she shouted angrily.")
I have a master’s degree in existential phenomenological therapeutic psychology from Seattle University, a certificate in Integrated Movement Therapy, and certificates in editing and writing from the University of Washington. (I really do like school.) My background in mental health and social services pairs perfectly with writing and editing—both vocations are about helping people clarify their thinking and express themselves effectively.
If you are working on a memoir or a novel and need ghostwriting I'd love to hear from you.
