ABOUT ME

I'm an Irish book designer and typographer with over 22 years of experience in book publishing, branding and typography. I currently work with many publishers including HarperCollins (Spain) and Boydell & Brewer (UK).

Previously I worked as a senior designer of publications and exhibitions at the Natural History Museum in London designing targeted materials for the general public, museum professionals, high value donors and senior politicians.

I work with entrepreneurs, novelists, artists, photographers, poets, scientists and academics.

I also collaborate with branding agencies, marketing consultancies, health professionals, science communicators, and start-ups. Sectors I have worked in include: Corporate B2B and B2C, Tech, Health, Culture, Museums, Music and Education.

As well as designing exhibition graphics, invitations, signage etc. my main role was designing publications including three years of annual reviews, exhibition portfolios for international partners, internal publications regarding museum operations and membership magazines. I managed all projects from initial scoping meetings, through the various stages of development and stakeholder sign-off to final artwork for printers. I also managed scheduling, price quote procurement from various external printers and design specs like paper types, binding and finishing. I worked closely with senior management right up to Museum Director to design and deliver publications that were effective, rigorous and delivered on time and to the highest quality specifications.
