Vida Igličar – Designer

Hey there. ✨

My name is Vida Igličar and I come from a small but beautiful country Slovenia. I count myself lucky to have found my passion in design and illustration at a young age. Besides work, I am always in search of inner peace, balance and enjoy spending time in nature. 🌿

I studied Foundation studies of Art and Design and then did a graduate course in Graphic Design and Illustration at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. After graduating I worked in an advertising agency for 5 years and then nearly 5 years ago pursued a freelance career. In my 10+ working experience I received numerous design and advertising awards. 💪

I myself wrote and published 3 books and those projects are the ones I am most proud of. I cherish books, I am aware of how much effort goes into creating them so it would be an honour if you decide to trust me with design. ❤️

How I usually work when designing BOOK COVERS:

PHASE 1 👉 I will gather any relevant information from your side (define an appropriate look & feel for your project, check which other designs you like, whether there are any specific motifs you wish to include on the cover).

PHASE 2 👉 Based on a rough look & feel we discuss and decide to go for together, I will create 3 or more sketches for design cover. I usually send first proposals within one week.

PHASE 3 👉 We look through prepared proposals, you then let me know which one you like the most and whether there are some changes or options you wish to see. I then prepare new, upgraded versions of the chosen proposal. I usually send those within one week.

PHASE 4 👉 You select the best version and if needed, I make the final adjustments and export the final design in a needed format. I usually send those within a few days.

The whole process for book cover design usually takes 3-4 weeks. I am up to set shorter timelines, however a rush fee will be applied.
