Overview
I have edited 40+ nonfiction books, including Amazon nonfiction bestsellers and NYT bestselling fiction. For the past decade, I have also been the editorial director of Sutton Hart Press, a Washington-based nonfiction publisher.
I help authors realize their vision, maintaining their style, improving structure, analyzing competing titles, and boosting marketability.
I often start working with authors very early on, helping them structure their ideas, offering inspiration, and providing feedback.
I am a rigorous fact-checker. I speak seven languages and this gives me access to a larger pool of research sources.
I value Orwellian prose, clean ideas, and immaculate sentences. The Elements of Style and Dreyer’s English are my creed.
When a manuscript is stuck, I can think outside the box and reframe it to find its true essence and make it more marketable.
I have taught Creative Writing and Screenwriting in a Uruguayan university, and I have been a guest lecturer at the University of Louisville.
My background includes work that was featured on the BBC, The New York Times online, Business Insider, USA Today, SF Weekly, Entrepreneur.com, Bustle, Elite Daily, and the Chicago Sun-Times.
I help authors find their voice.
