Savannah B. – Editor

With a passion for writing, grammar, and syntax, I aim to upgrade your content to entice new readers and bring them inside your book world.

Hi there! I am an editor, proofreader, and resume designer looking to assist authors in bringing their stories to life. With an eye for detail, I can catch even the most minute grammatical error, leaving you free to focus on your characters. I specialize in line editing, copywriting, and proofreading and have experience with publishing companies such as HarperCollins, She Reads Truth, and LifeWay. I pride myself on always being ahead of schedule and thrive on organization, meeting deadlines with excitement and professionalism. Some genres I have worked on include historical, contemporary romance, women's fiction, and Amish. With me as your proofreader, you can take your content from rough draft to polished manuscript and have a project worth showcasing to your colleagues and potential readers.

She Reads Truth

Aug, 2016 — Dec, 2016 (4 months)

As the Editorial Intern for She Reads Truth, I became immersed in the process of creating and publishing devotionals and study books, getting the chance to edit content and learn about proofreading skills. I sat in on team meetings with both the Editorial and Creative departments, brainstormed ideas for content, and edited finalized documents for the reading community of She Reads Truth. Other tasks included organizing documents and checking scripture references for books, contributing research and ideas, editing content and writers’ pieces, and working with both departments to finalize products. Over the course of my time interning, my work helped create six books with my name on the masthead.

I am very pleased with my collaboration with Savannah. She was reasonably priced, gave me updates throughout the process, and finished everything on time as promised. In her developmental edit, she pointed out things, and asked questions that hadn't occurred to me, to overall strengthen my story. She showed me ways to reword things to make some things clearer, and make certain passages read mor...

So to have a professional's feedback (and have it be supportive) is so valuable. Savannah was thorough in her feedback as to what worked and what could improve. Her constructive feedback helped me to reevaluate my writing in a way that none of ...
