Why hire me though?
Well, I have more than 20+ years of experience in the publishing industry, designing hundreds of books for well-know authors such as Tony Evans, John MacArthur, and Josh McDowell.
I’ve designed autobiographies for high-profile athletes like Zach Ertz, Julie Ertz, Shaun Alexander, and Ryan Hall.
I've formatted 600+ page, full-color, illustrated, college text books with captions, notes, appendices, etc.
I've helped create books in all genres: fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, children's, graphic novels, etc.
I've even written four books myself (3 of which are self-published), so I understand the publishing process from an authors point-of-view as well.
On top of all that, I live in a small town with a lower cost of living that is reflected in my extremely reasonable rates.
All that combined means I can offer you big-city publishing house quality & experience, at small-town prices.
“During my 16 years as a senior editor at Harvest House Publishers, Steve Kuhn was the designer for several of the books I acquired and edited. In every case he did a great job and I recommend him with great enthusiasm.” —Nick Harrison, WordServe Literary Agency

"Steve was able to take my humble graphic ideas and turn them into an outstanding book cover. It looks better than anything I could have imagined! His artistic skills and attention to detail made me look good!” —Pastor Bob Beeman, International Author and Speaker
"Steve Kuhn is a professional, high caliber provider at a reasonable cost. He has a unique ability to perceive the vision of his clients, and amplify that vision in creative ways. Given a set of basic anchors, he can extend those basics into a powerful marketing tool. We've used him for years, and we're hooked. Big bang for the buck. Trusted." —Don Trumbull, Author
I have been working full-time as a graphic designer since graduating Oregon State University as the 2002 Senior of Distinction in Graphic Design. In addition to my primary focus of book design, I've had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from traditional print design such as posters, logo design, and brochures; to large-scale environmental design and trade show booths.
Responsible for the management and production of interior layout design on more than 1000 books during my time at Harvest House. To this day Harvest House is still my largest client.
