I've been a professional writer for more than 25 years and published my first book, a YA non-fiction title about grieving, in 1998. I pitched and sold my first non-fiction book for adults in 2002, followed by 3 more books in a few short years. My literary agent noticed that I was highly skilled at writing proposals and selling books quickly, so she asked if I could help some of her other clients with their book proposals. This is how my ghostwriting side hustle was born, and I've been getting my clients published ever since.

I quickly graduated from writing proposals to full-length books for a diverse group of clients as I continued to publish my own books, writing for magazines like Teen Vogue and Elle UK, crafting copy for dozens of websites along the way, and working as an adjunct professor of writing in New York City. Somehow, I also managed to write a series of weekly advice columns about sex and relationships during these years. Did I ever sleep? I'm not sure.
