Too Much can be Overkill

The road less traveled can lead you nowhere. You are always in search of the very thing that you may regret learning.

You are wanting to find a solution to every problem even when there is no problem to find a solution for.

You must first know who you are and what you want out of life before you can advise others of what they are wanting your advice for.

Living in the moment may mean you miss out on so many other smaller things and yet you are not willing to change directions, even when doing so, you are waiting for the opportunity to change them.

You seek but never find, you knock and no one answers, you wish for and give up too soon. You ask for and never get what exactly you want. You live through others with the drams that you have dreamed and the hopes you have are dashed against the rocks of the surf that will drown them repeatedly.

You desire to be more but are dealt less, you wish in one hand and are offered less than what you expected to receive. You are not either grateful or satisfied with having what you own or are in possession of at the moment, you'd rather be in debt than debt free.

You see-through rose-colored glasses and hear only with selective hearing. You hate the truth and will believe a lie instead of seeking out the truth before making a decision based on the truth you have sought. You follow the leader who is no better to lead than you are, you figure you will take short cuts and not worry about the end results.

You are better to stand in the shadows and not be noticed, than to be noticed and been seen as a fool. You are worthy of your worth and should never judge yourself unless you do so constructively. You build yourself up and are not prepared for the after crash. You want the approval of others and never see things the way they see them fairly.

You won't allow to give things a fair chance, always wanting everything right then and there. You make mistakes and blame others for the same mistakes you have made.

You wish for and wait for the wish to come true, you want to not be superstitious, yet the lucky rabbit's foot and four-leaf clover tell another story. You shut out the one who IS in control of all and curse the same for allowing things to happen, never believing that all things happen for a reason and a purpose.

You change the way you live to satisfy selfish desires that never make you happy and hold onto things that may never work out the way you planned them to.

You see the beginning of a picture but never look for the whole picture's meaning. You feel fully empty and incompletely smart. You answer in riddles and never are straightforward. Never to find the good in all and the bad is only a whisper away.

You tear down that which you build up, whether it is only half done. You sell things that aren't yours and wish only bad on all who cross your path.

You try to live up to the hype that is false and will not allow yourself to be the best you can be unless the lies told are proven wrong. Then and only then will you believe something that is still a lie and will grow into an even bigger lie than the one told before.

You want to fill the gap in your heart will less than that which will fill it fully. Only to begin to contemplate other options that are placed before by those who would never admit the value of a human life. The ones offering these alternatives to the actual solution are hoping for the worst and hoping you will make someone rich by choosing the worst of the things placed before you. Their solutions are actually resolutions but have a not so perfect ending and it is permanent. You see things as they are meant to be seen but will deny that which you see and you choose to ignore it at all costs.

You refrain from giving your own self credit and the honors that you deserve, just so that someone else less deserving will move in and take what you actually worked so hard for. They will receive the credit and recognition that was meant for you to grab and take hold of. They will get your promotion. They will be patted on the back and will be seen as the mover and shaker you should have been seen as.

You wait for the moment to become the one who excels and achieves much but others will cause you to doubt your best efforts and will make sure you stay where you are and remain in limbo indifference. Like a caged animal who is walking swiftly to and fro, like one who believes they are meant to remain where they are at present. You will begin to believe the negative obstacles and feedback that will hold you back forever.

To be called something you are not, even the ones who know you will doubt your sincerity. You will angrily and judgmentally hold yourself in a way that the lights shining in on your spot will be soon filled by someone else who knocked you down and after you fell to the ground, went further and kicked you while you were still down instead of helping you up.

To be close and to be there close enough to reach out and place your hand on the shoulder of the one in front of you. To see the successes of yesterday and today and possibly tomorrow, never given credit for or even associated with you, you feel dejected and left out more than once.

To be so close that you can touch the face of God and still feel alone.
