Overview
“Scout communicates promptly and brilliantly. She is charismatic, inviting, and a true champion for my book. With an indie press, it can feel hard to get your book’s name out there, but Scout pursued every possible avenue and made it possible for me. When my book received an honor from the National Book Foundation, she celebrated with me. I wish every author had a Scout."
—STACIE SHANNON DENETSOSIE, a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 Honoree, author of The Missing Morningstar, and editor of Beyond the Glittering World

ABOUT SCOUT:
The publishing industry is very mysterious! How do you ask blurbers to read your manuscript? What does a successful logline accomplish? When should you announce your book to the world and through what channels? How do you get booksellers and librarians to notice, and care? What makes a successful author tour and/or book event?
I am here to help you confidently and thoroughly support your book, through:
🧚♀️ Creative and effective book marketing strategy
🧚♀️ Metadata optimization
🧚♀️ Media/publicity strategy
🧚♀️ Crafting cover copy, key selling points, and marketing plans (our national distributor features my work as an example of what marketing plans and key selling points should look like when done right)
🧚♀️ Amazon A+ Content
🧚♀️ Social media and email campaigns
🧚♀️ Branding and website design
🧚♀️ Tour strategy
🧚♀️ Press kit and press release creation
🧚♀️ OH! And I have a plethora of tips on how to be a good literary citizen—becoming an author means going beyond the writing process and growing a community, digitally and in the real world.
Books I have crafted campaigns for have gone on to win notable national and regional awards—most recently, the American Book Award. They have been nominated and longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, PEN Literary Awards, and the National Book Awards. They have been featured on NPR’s Science Friday, The New York Times, High Country News, and Outside Magazine, among many others.
I love sprinkling my book marketing fairy dust wherever I can. I have experience working with adult titles: nonfiction, poetry, fiction, and anthologies.
Let's get your book to the widest possible readership!
