Sara Lou – Designer

I love creating poetic, expressive illustrations with gentle colours, delicate details and characters that feel thoughtful, curious and kind.

My work is inspired by nature, human feelings and the small quiet moments that often say the most. I love mixing traditional materials with digital tools to keep the warmth, texture and spontaneity of analogue techniques and the freedom of digital illustration.

As both an illustrator and designer, I think about each project as a whole: from the emotion of the story to the rhythm of the page, the colour palette, the composition and the tiny details that help everything come to life.

Over the years, I have collaborated with publishers, authors and brands on books, editorial materials, campaigns and event identities. I've also been illustrating schoolbooks for the past few years.
