Mike Cañas – Designer

Hello! I’m an illustrator located in Walnut, California. My style in a mixture of my love for children’s storybooks with a bit of a comic book influence. I especially love to tackle humorous subject matters as making others laugh brings me great joy! My love of humor, however, does not mean I won’t work super hard for you. In fact, it is quite the opposite. I truly enjoy the process of creating images that tell a story and also compliment any other elements that may appear on the final page, such as text. I’m also very detail oriented, almost to a fault, which ensures that I will give you exactly what you asked for.

I am currently a freelance illustrator working hard to make a career out of what I am truly passionate about—Illustration. Being a father of 2 little ones keeps me full of creative energy and also gives me an in with my target audience, who can be quite honest with me if they do or do not like what I am creating.
