I’m specialized in children's publishing and natural history. I’ve illustrated more than 55 books, my experience spans over 35 years.

Patrizia is a published author and freelance illustrator of children's books and young adult books.
Some of the published credits of Patrizia Donaera include TADPOLES AND FROGS, NIGHT ANIMALS, DOGS, CATS, SEASHORE, DANGEROUS ANIMALS, TREES (illustrated for Usborne Beginners series) and MINIBEASTS, DINOSAURS, PLANET EARTH, MY BODY, SPACE, SCARY ANIMALS, AMAZING INVENTIONS, THINGS THAT GO (illustrated for the series "First Fabulous Facts", Ladybird Books)

She has illustrated the book “I do not want to be a little Mouse”, for the international cooperative project “ Chinese Story Seeds & World’s Illustration Flowers” written by Mr Cao Wenxuan , winner of Hans Christian Andersen Award 2016.

In addition her last book The Legend of Jet the Gerbil, won the 2021 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards Bronze Medal : Animal/Pets-Fiction , the 2022 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards Gold for Best New Voice and Children’s/Young Adult and the 2022 MIPA Midwest Book Award Gold Medal for "Best Illustration".
