Hi, I’m Nidzom, a children’s book illustrator and book designer creating warm, whimsical picture books for ages 3 to 8. My hand-drawn digital style combines watercolor, pencil texture, soft graphite grain, and expressive characters, giving every page the warmth and little imperfections of traditional artwork.

I’ve illustrated and designed 20+ published children’s books for independent authors and small publishers in the US, UK, Australia, and beyond. I can guide a book from a finished manuscript to print-ready files, including:

My characters are built around expression and visual storytelling. I love the small details children notice first, like a crooked smile, a suspicious eyebrow, or a background joke that adds another layer to the words.

The Adventures of Wally the Wrapper received an Honorable Mention at the 2025 Royal Dragonfly Book Awards, and its characters were later licensed for a mobile game. Terry Deary, author of Horrible Histories, described another book I illustrated as one of the funniest and most original children’s books he had read in years.

Many of my clients are first-time self-publishing authors, so I keep the process clear and collaborative. We begin with character direction and rough page sketches before moving into final colour, layout, and print preparation. Major composition decisions are approved while the artwork is still rough, when changes are easier to make.

Every project is led and art-directed by me, and I remain your main creative contact. Depending on the scope, trusted members of my small studio team may assist under my direction with production, layout, or print preparation. I’ll always clarify who is involved before we begin. No generative AI is used in the artwork.
