Natalie Shau

Natalie Shau – Designer

Digital artist specializing in surreal portraits and scenery. I especially enjoy creating covers for paranormal romance and fairytales.

Overview

I am a digital photo artist and photographer from Lithuania. I have an interest in fashion and portrait photography as well as in photo-manipulation, digital collage and drawing. Alongside my personal work, I also create artwork and photography for book covers and advertisement. I have also worked as an art director for a short 3D movie of Kamel Ouali's musical "Dracula" and was one of the artists who created WACOM tutorials for Intuos pro graphic tablet.

My style combines modern and historical elements that have been described as surreal portraiture. I also sometimes model for my personal artworks.

My work has been featured in many art publications including “Hi Fructose” magazine, “New York Arts” magazine, "Juxtapoz" magazine, “Computer Arts” magazine etc., and I have exhibited in the USA, France, Italy, Germany and Japan.

Some awards and features:

Leva Magazine's (Lithuania) photo competition (2009): best fashion photographer.

The Creative Circle Award (2009) best magazine advertisiment (Cadbury/Bournville “Deliciously Dark Thoughts” – Ogilvy Jhb )

II place in Pioneers of Now: A Talent Audition by Wacom Europe (2013)

One of the chosen artists for Adobe Remix Logo Interpretation (2013)

I look forward to hearing how I can draw on my skills to help you enhance your book.

Natalie has been amazing. She's extremely responsive to communication, checking in during each new stage of the process and allowed me the opportunity to make necessary minor corrections, ensuring she captured my vision and that the specifications for the cover were accurate for the proportions of my book. She illustrated my idea of what I envisioned for the cover exceptionally. Her artistic sk...
