A newly-minted book cover and paperback interior format designer, with many (many!) years of multi-discipline creative experience in graphics, illustration, photography, video & marketing.

Trained in fine art photography and graphic design, my career saw me take roles in increasingly senior creative & design capacities in both private and public sector organisations.

My growing interest in personal image creation and visual storytelling eventually led me to setup my own design company.

Happy working for either print or e-pub / digital, I like direct, punchy and – occasionally – intriguing (in my book covers!). Oftentimes my work is photographically-based.

My tools of choice include most of Adobe's main product line and a plethora of more niche - but equally great - software.

(NB: On occasion, some of my work may now include little bits of CGI. Oh, my giddy Aunt... '.' )

I tend to be almost obsessively client-centric, highly collaborative and quality driven: your needs are mine to fulfil (and that are normally fulfilled quickly, too).

All of my design offers - whether from e-book, print, or both - always include promotional images such as simulated 3D book renders, Twitter and Facebook social media banners. Nice.

I also provide interior formatting services for both print and ebook; with cover design or just interiors only. For such work, a first proof interior proof is normally back to the client with 2 working days.

My motto: always a pleasure, never a chore. *nods* :-)

I found working with Mark Thomas an excellent experience. He’s a good listener, but is also confident enough to put forward his own suggestions/constructive thoughts. He works quickly and the level of service/communication was excellent throughout the project. I especially found our discussions regarding designing a cover that fit into the genre useful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to o...

Mark offered me a wide selection of unique and varied cover designs, having taken considerable interest in the book and what I was looking for from a designer. He produced all stages of the project with remarkable speed and extremely responsive communication throughout, which was very reassuring. He offered me advice when asked, which was helpful to me as a new author, and his attention to deta...
