Mark Legg

Mark Legg – Ghostwriter

I ghostwrite thoughtful nonfiction. Let's make your book exceptional. Specialties: memoir, leadership, psychology, philosophy, and theology.

Overview

Thanks for stopping in. I'm Mark, a ghostwriter, editor, and researcher.

You're entrusting me with your book; I won't take it lightly. I’ll commit to you as a client through and through, meet when needed, respond quickly, and clarify my work throughout. In addition to creating an excellent manuscript, I'll help you become a better author and thinker.

Jefferson Fisher, NYT bestselling author of "The Next Conversation," writes, "Mark’s work is top tier. If you need speed and accuracy and an eye for what actually matters, he's the one you want." (I worked with him as a research assistant.)

As the former associate editor for The Denison Forum, I have five years of experience writing about Christianity. With a master's in philosophy, I specialize in linear thinking, clarity, and research. My BA in biblical studies also makes me the perfect partner for Christian authors.

I'm proficient at adopting your voice. I've worked on several ghostwritten and rewritten projects, including "Sex and Marriage," full-length reports for Barna Group, and others either in the works or completed with discretion.

Here are some kind words from a current client writing a memoir:

"I have been working with Mark for many months now, and what began as a ghostwriting arrangement has evolved into a genuine creative partnership and friendship. Mark did not simply write with me—he became immersed in the story and learned to embody my voice with remarkable attention and care.

In any creative process, it is rare to find someone who can enter your imaginative space, grasp ideas that are still forming, and translate moments that exist only in the abstract into clear, compelling prose. Mark has that ability. He embraced my project fully and has played a critical role in bringing my story to life and preparing it for the public."

I’m available for a free consultation, so please get in touch. I’d love to hear more about your project!

I had the privilege of working with Mark for several months on my biography. This project was far more than simply writing a book—it was a story and history I had wanted to share with the world for a while. In many ways, it required a deep level of vulnerability and self-reflection, so it was ess...

What methods do you use to capture a client’s voice in your writing?

Capturing a client's voice starts with listening. Effective listening is fueled by curiosity and empathy. Authentic curiosity allows me to listen with real interest. As I saturate myself in the clients' ideas and stories, I grow to empathize with them. From this soil bloom the final words on the ...
