Overview
I'm a freelance ghostwriter and features journalist who loves to tell the stories of CEOs, founders and high profile people.
I've been a professional writer and journalist for almost two decades, covering business topics for CNBC, writing personal stories for the Guardian and digging into history for National Geographic. I'm also editor-at-large of a quarterly business magazine published by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
I have ghostwritten two books including a memoir that won a Business Book Award and I have extensive experience in writing shorter content (blog posts, founding stories, op-eds, web copy) for executives from the likes of L'Oreal, TikTok, Visa, ServiceNow, Elavon, Avery Dennison and Turner & Townsend.
I find founders of all kinds of business fascinating and am unruffled by CEOs and those in the public eye. People I have interviewed as part of my journalism include Bernard Arnault, Tina Brown, Tony Hawk, Reid Hoffman, Arianna Huffington, Gretchen Rubin, Reshma Saujani, Guy Spier and senior leaders from AB InBev, Airbnb, Alphabet, Chopard, Diageo, Intuit, Ikea, Lego, Microsoft, Ralph Lauren and WPP.
Additionally, I deliver all the qualities you'd expect of a professional ghostwriter:
• The ability to listen closely and ask questions to draw out narratives that will resonate with readers
• A keen interest in learning about the authors I write for, their lives and business
• Sensitive handling of personal stories
• The ability to capture your unique tone of voice
• A warm and professional approach, as well as excellent time-keeping and organizational skills
Here are two testimonials:
1. "It's one thing to have a good story to tell, and another to tell a good story. We spent over 100 hours working on my book manuscript to make my story come to life. Thank you Lucy, I am very proud of the outcome of this project and that is to a large extent because of you."
Sophie Trelles-Tvede, founder, Invisibobble.
2. "Lucy is a great journalist and colleague and I can highly recommend her. She is extremely well-organized and creative, able to come up with fantastic ideas and write great pieces."
Jane Dudman, The Guardian.
