Overview
My ultimate goal is to help authors keep their readers hooked from start to finish. And this means creating a story that's both engaging and free from distractions. My skills range from spotting the smallest of errors to editing for consistency, clarity, accuracy, pacing, voice, tone, and style. I'm quick but thorough, and I often go the extra mile, as I truly want every book to shine.
Although most of my experience is with creative nonfiction, I'm an avid reader, particularly of mysteries. I have no doubt that I can make any fiction manuscript squeaky clean and unforgettable. I'm always enthusiastic about my work and get along well with authors. My recent experience has ranged from copyediting a series of DK Super Readers for children to proofreading a hilarious and unexpectedly touching memoir about diving into the expanding world of competitive pickleball. I have worked on more than 100 children's books and several fantastic adult memoirs. I've loved every project, and I'm sure I'll love yours, too!
