Lauren Kerstein – Editor

Developmental editor working with multiple agents. I love helping creators bring their visions to life. Author of fiction and nonfiction.

Overview

Hi! I am an author, psychotherapist, and a Jersey girl at heart who currently lives in Colorado with my husband, daughters, and rescue dogs. I am a first reader for multiple agents and as such, provide both developmental edits and line-level thoughts. I love working with creators to help them bring their visions to life and polish their manuscripts until they shine! I work with multi-published authors to authors just beginning to explore their talent. In all of my work, my goal is to help creators find the heart of their story, and hook readers from the first word. I specialize in SEL, mental health, and humor.

As an author myself, I understand the daunting challenges creators face throughout the process. Writing and revising can be incredibly satisfying and rather painful. I enjoy supporting creators and hope our work together makes the process more enjoyable. I am the author of multiple picture books and books in my field. My writing and editing goals are simple. Read voraciously. Embrace feedback. Grow each day. Work hard. Be passionate. Write courageously. Touch children’s hearts.
