Overview

Reviews (5)

I have been working as a professional illustrator and designer for over 10 years.

I have fully illustrated children's books for major publishers, such as HarperCollins and Scholastic. My books have been sold into over 12 countries, and translated into multiple languages.

I also enjoy illustrating lifestyle and novelty books as well. My core skills include watercolour painting, digital illustration, typography and hand-lettering.

I have designed many of the picture books I illustrated, and have worked with self-publishers and indie publishers alike. I pride myself on translating the vision of the author or editor into engaging and compelling visuals.

I look forward to hearing about your next project!

Work experience

Designer

TLN press
January, 2009 – August, 2016 (over 7 years)

I created all print material for TLN (Teacher Learning Network), including a distinctive book series which stole more than its market share, by standing out against other books in its genre. The first book was reprinted 4 times.

I also produced over 20 publications which were constantly noted for their fresh and innovative design. I pride myself on working closely with the author or editor to realise their vision in a compelling and striking way.

Kim is so easy to work with, which is great given she is doing the internal design for my entire series!

Kim Fleming is terrific to work with. She sourced an amazing font for my children's book cover that couldn't have been better. This was my first book and she was approachable and professional at all times.

Kim is truely wonderful to work with. She brought my book to life with great attention to detail. I am writing an entire series for children and will be using her for each and every single book. She has worked really well with the style of the illustrator and make a cracking little book. Thanks so much Kim!!!!

I needed Kim's help again with design to get the book ready for another publisher. She delivered on time, with ease!

This is my second children's book through Reedsy. And I'm very glad I found Kim on here! Kim was extremely professional, super helpful, creative and delivered all the assets on time. My illustrator and I are relative novices to children's book writing so it was awesome to have someone experienced like Kim integrate our ideas and illustrations together into something that looks professional!!...
