Kim Becker – Editor

I'm a professional copyeditor and proofreader with over 30 years of experience in educational publishing. My work in publishing has given me a solid foundation in the rules of copyediting and proofreading (as well as insight into when to bend them). I began my editing career at a large educational publishing company. I then went on to work as a freelance editor. I've had the privilege of working with many educational publishing companies over the years. I love the art of copyediting and proofreading a manuscript to create a polished final product.

The best part of my work experience has been the opportunity to read hundreds of children's books and young adult novels. For pleasure reading, I enjoy contemporary and historical fiction as well as fantasy novels. In addition to educational materials, I've copyedited and proofread general fiction novels and children's books. I'd love to work with you to put the finishing touches on your manuscript.
