Katie Dicker

Katie Dicker – Editor

Over 25 years' experience in the publishing industry as a writer, editor and project manager – predominantly in children's non-fiction.

Overview

As a freelance publishing professional, my writing, editing, proofreading and project management skills have helped to produce high-quality books for publishers in the UK and US, such as Lonely Planet Kids, Igloo, Franklin Watts, Wayland, Raintree, Cavendish Square and Quarto. I have written over 100 children's non-fiction titles and edited more than 300, covering a variety of topics from art and astronomy, history and health to criminology, current affairs, energy and the environment. I have a meticulous eye for detail, am a stickler for deadlines and strive to ensure factual accuracy and clarity, while also maintaining a sense of fun to keep texts lively and engaging. My writing and editing skills complement each other and help to bring sensitivity and understanding when working with authors. Do get in touch if I can be of help.
