Overview

I am an editor at Australia's top children's book publisher, Scholastic Australia. I focus on early reader and middle grade illustrated fiction, but have also worked on YA titles and picture books. With over ten years of industry experience, I am skilled in all areas of editing from manuscript assessment and developmental, to copyediting and proofreading.


Please note that I am currently unavailable to assess or copyedit manuscripts longer than 15000 words. Just basic proofreading for these long ones!

Currently editing and project managing young readers and middle-grade fiction, often heavily illustrated. Experienced in all areas of editing - manuscript assessment, developmental, structural, line editing, copyediting and proofreading. Assist publisher with commissioning new authors and illustrators. Collaborate with publishing and editorial teams on researching and pitching new titles/series/creators. Work closely with designers and illustrators on internals layout and cover design.

Key titles: Ella Diaries series, Olivia Secret Scribbles, Ella and Olivia, LIARS, Minutes of Danger, Cowboy and Birdbrain, Pixel Raiders, Daring Delly, Fartboy.

Previously wrote, edited and project managed various licensed product titles including properties/licenses such as Marvel, Disney, May Gibbs, Star Wars, DC Comics, Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, Hello Kitty and more.
