I am motivated by the powers of words and story-telling, for just as music inspires with notes, writing inspires with words.

Southern-born and -raised, I have worked with regional independent publishers in all stages of editing, from developmental to proofreading. Specifically with Hub City Press I have edited the winners of the SC First Novel Prize for the past three years. Catch me on the copyright pages of such works as Ember, Whiskey & Ribbons, The Wooden King, and, more recently, The Prettiest Star.

Even though I might throw in some punctuation variety (I love a well placed em dash), I think author voice is the most important part of writing.
