I am also the James Beard Award-winning author of the memoir The Man Who Couldn't Eat. My non-fiction and fiction have appeared in Esquire, The Atlantic, The New York Times and elsewhere. Additionally, I am the director-writer of the award-winning documentary film Tree Man.
