Overview
I have worked as a professional illustrator since 2013, I have had work published by TOR, Scholastic, Harper Collins, Hachette, Bloomsbury, Baen, Audible, Podium, and The Broken Binding.
My focus is Sci-fi & Fantasy, although I do work in other genres.
I create covers using multiple techniques including digital painting, 3D modeling & rendering, photo manipulation, and graphic design, allowing me to create almost anything! I am happy to work completely by digital painting, doing highly detailed photo and 3d work based artwork, or any mix of the two. If you have a preference please let me know!
I focus on designing covers that are a perfect fit for each book's genre, subgenre(s), and the overall feel and emotions of the book. Getting the cover to fit like a glove for the book is important to me.
I have refined my process of working with clients to get the best possible cover for each specific book. This will often involve me suggesting new ideas or pushing back on parts of clients' ideas in order to get to the most beautiful and marketable cover possible.
I like to begin projects with a Zoom call at the starting date to discuss your project in depth. If you prefer to stick to messages that is no problem, just let me know!
During the call, we would begin by discussing your book and I will ask questions to understand it overall. There is no need for you to prepare for the call, I will walk you through the process. After that, I will go over a few of my thoughts on how to work out the best cover ideas together, then we will discuss your ideas, my ideas, and brainstorm and work together to come up with the best concept. I will sketch out the concepts live on the call. Generally, we have an initial direction by the end of the call. Sometimes I may take a few more days for research and sketching if we don't come up with a great idea right away.
Once the sketch is approved, I’ll work on it for about two weeks and share a roughly 50% complete draft. I’m very open to making changes, but they should be beneficial to your cover and marketability and I may push back if I believe that it will benefit the cover.
Near the end date I will a final pending any final changes draft. Once that is complete I will provide the final deliverables

Feel free to reach out with any questions, even if you decide not to work with me on this project! I am happy to help. I wish you the best of luck on your self-publishing journey!
