Ginny Yttrup – Editor

I am a developmental editor who is passionate about working with writers to develop their manuscript to its full potential.

Overview

I am a developmental editor who is passionate about working with writers to develop their manuscript to its full potential. I provide developmental edits for both fiction and memoir projects, ensuring the structure, plot, pacing, and all necessary elements, work together to create an engaging and satisfying book for the reader.

As an award-winning, bestselling novelist, I will apply my knowledge and experience to your manuscript, working closely with you, the author, to ensure your work conveys exactly what you intend.

I've worked with best-selling, multi published authors to develop their manuscripts, along with first time authors who are still learning the craft. Also, as a writing coach, I will gently coach you through the editing process, teaching as we work through the manuscript together.

What a few clients have said:

"Ginny is a writing pro who takes a manuscript from good to, oh my goodness, it’s great. With a deft eye for detail and a deep understanding of story, she improved my novel by 100 percent, and then doubled that. More than all, she guided me, as the writer, to craft places I didn’t know I could go. You’ll gain more than you can imagine by working with such an insightful, empowering, talented coach."

Patricia Raybon, Award Winning, Bestselling Author – My First White Friend, I Told the Mountain to Move,

and All That is Secret – An Annalee Spain Mystery

"Over the last decade, I’ve worked with many writing coaches. Ginny takes coaching to a whole new level, above and beyond what I’ve experienced before. She immerses herself in her client’s writing and gets to know the person behind the pen."

Cheri Gregory, Author –Overwhelmed, Exhale, and Sensitive and Strong

"Working with Ginny was a wonderful experience. She is warm and compassionate which made discussing the sensitive nature of my story so much easier. She was professional and attentive, and I could tell she cared about my story and how it was presented. I had read one of her books and knew she was a talented writer. She is equally gifted as an editor. When I got my developmental edit back I was amazed at her thoroughness and all of her suggestions and critique. I took my time and applied her critique/advice step by step, and I was thrilled with the finished product. My manuscript was elevated to a whole new level. I learned so much from Ginny through the process. I am now a better writer, and I can take those skills into my next project. Worth every penny. I trust Ginny and will be using her again for sure!"
