Overview
I've been a freelance copyeditor, line editor, proofreader, fact checker, and writer since 2008. I've edited over 400 books for young readers for Scholastic, Penguin Random House, and Hachette Book Group; developed LEGO and Star Wars activity book projects for Klutz; and for nearly seven years as copy chief of San Diego Magazine I edited all editorial content and wrote two regular columns.
My high-profile young adult work includes proofreading the first two books of the Hunger Games series, continuity editing on the library binding editions of all seven Harry Potter books, copyediting the 2011 rereleases of Animorphs #1–8, copyediting the American paperback editions of the Mortal Engines/Predator Cities quartet, and copyediting over 30 modern and classic Goosebumps books.
More recently, I've been thrilled to work on several Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Masters of the Universe books that are forthcoming.
In my spare time I've self-published a science fiction novel, a collection of short stories, two military memoirs for family members, and a video-game-themed wilderness survival guide. My favorite books to work on are genre and literary fiction, but I have experience across the board and am open to any project. Get in touch and let me know how I can help you!
