It was bedtime, and we were only slightly behind schedule. Okay, we were way behind schedule. Who knew that getting a seven-year-old ready for bed would take so long? It didn’t help that I gave in and let Claire watch another episode of Bluey after we’d discussed only watching one. But that TV show was like a drug. I didn’t know what it was, but it sucked you in, and before you realized it, the end credits played, and a half hour of your life was gone. And you still wanted to watch another episode. I think I wanted to watch the next episode ...
