Johnny Chrome/Kidd was a hotrodder, writer, and poet from Hawaii. Before he dropped out of sight without a trace, he wrote about his adventures and the hot rod scene he knew. My name is Danny, and I was also a hot rod builder. While searching for a project, I stumbled on a collection of Johnny's stories in an abandoned downtown Honolulu warehouse. After keeping them for over forty years and failing to locate Johnny, I thought I’d share some of his writings from all those years ago here, if they fit with a themed prompt.
