Overview
I'm a freelance illustrator and artist, currently residing in Slovakia. I have experience working on a variety of different projects from portraits, book covers and private commissions. Many years ago I started out as a traditional artist and so I strive to create digital illustrations that have the same look, feel and brushwork of oil paintings. Other than art I love fedora hats, watching movies, single malt whiskey, traveling, playing guitar and cycling. Recently I discovered yoga which has helped me to limber up from all the countless hours sat in front of the computer!
With regards to my process, initially I’ll ask for the exact size(s) needed, an in-depth description, sample chapters, style/ colour preferences and any reference materials to get the ball rolling. I’ll then conduct my own research, create some sketches and then send those for review. Once the sketch has been approved, I’ll then go ahead and create the final painting. Once the final illustration has been completed, I’ll send that for approval with up to 3 minor changes.
