I’ve been working as an independent consultant for seven years and in that time, I have worked with almost 100 clients on either books or book proposals. My clients have found book deals with both major publishers as well as achieved best-seller status through self-publishing. They primarily include thought leaders in business or marketing, real estate, and personal development, but I can work in all non-fiction genres. I have a step-by-step process that helps to make it easy and painless as possible. Here's how I work: We break up the two parts to a book, the ideas and the words. We do a chapter table of contents with a detailed outline to think through the ideas. Next, you use those bullet points as a guide to explain each one to get the ideas you out of your brain. Finally, you leave the wordsmithing to me.
