Wesley Strickland is a book designer, illustrator, and senior graphic designer in Charleston, SC, with over eight years of experience in the publishing industry. Wesley specializes in typesetting, layout design, and cover design, as well as creating custom editorial illustrations.

My creative process begins with understanding the author's vision. I conduct a short interview to outline a general objective, then share a few thumbnail sketches for the author to approve. Once the creative direction for the project has been established, I begin working on the final concepts.

Exploring the narrative, theme, and target audience, I let these insights shape my design decisions.
